Wyke Farms Takes to the Road as Company Reach 10 Year Milestone

Wyke Farms set to reach 20 millionth shopper through summer sampling campaign

Somerset, UK – 30th June 2015: Wyke Farms, one of the UK’s largest independent cheese producers and milk processors, embark upon their annual Summer sampling campaign this week. Now in its tenth year, the company have been reaching approximately 2 million consumers every year with their extensive presence at national family, lifestyle, county, food and equine events across the country.

This year the Wyke Farms sampling kitchen will be present at 20 events where shoppers will be invited to taste its award winning cheddar in a traditional farmhouse kitchen layout. The company will be focusing heavily on their ‘100% green’ and quality prize winning messages, which focus on their natural, traceable and local credentials.

In addition to the shopper sampling campaign, Wyke Farms are supporting the brand with advertising in consumer magazines until Christmas to communicate how their prize winning Cheddar fulfils shoppers desire for ’new healthy eating’ with a focus on natural, unadulterated foods. Titles include Women and Home, BBC Good Food, Good Housekeeping and Hello. The brand will also be on TV again this Autumn with their award winning TV advert produced by Ridley Scott. Finally, Wyke Farms are set to continue to be more active than any other cheese brand on Social Media where they are communicating daily to a communities totaling over sixty five thousand people.

Jennifer Gray, Marketing Manager at Wyke Farms said: “This blend of personal interaction combined with print, TV advertising and social media provides us with the opportunity to talk about our unique proposition using the most relevant channel for the message. We have a rich brand story to tell shoppers, covering family history, sustainability, farming and news about our award winning cheddar and it’s often easier to convey these through a one on one interaction on the tasting stand than through other media where the interaction time is shorter.”

The Wyke Farms team will be encouraging brand loyalty at the events by offering consumers samples, product offers, coupons and recipe cards.

Wyke Farms are sampling its farmhouse cheddar at The BBC Good Food Show, The Royal Bath & West Show, The Grand Designs Show and MasterChef Live among others. Product sampling includes Wyke Farms Simply Gorgeous Vintage Cheddar, Just Delicious Extra Mature Cheddar, Rich and Creamy Mature Cheddar, and also Somerset Old Smokey.
