(US) Wyke Farms Cheddar Now Available Across Midwestern U.S.

Britain’s largest independent farmhouse cheese producer achieves retail distribution in United States; cheddar to hit deli counters in time for Autumn

Austin, Texas / Somerset, EnglandSeptember 10, 2008 – Wyke Farms, the UK’s largest independent cheese producer and milk processor, today announced the family’s award-winning farmhouse cheddar and butter will be available in a variety of retail grocery stores throughout the Midwestern United States. Since officially announcing their US introduction in April, Wyke Farms will now be stocking deli counters at retail stores throughout America’s heartland, just in time for Fall tailgate parties, wine season and get-togethers.

A traditional family farm set on a rolling 1,500 acres in Somerset, England, the Clothier family has been producing farmhouse cheese and butter for more than 100 years, never straying from Grandma Ivy’s original recipe. Over the years, Wyke Farms’ range of farmhouse cheddar and butter has won numerous awards and become a household name throughout Europe, but has never been sold in stores across the Atlantic – making today a momentous achievement in company’s century-old history.
