Bournemouth – 13th march 2020 – Milton, the leading expert in sterilising today impresses upon the public the importance of good personal and home hygiene to help stop Coronavirus transmission. Aside from regular hand cleaning, the home should also be regularly cleaned to prevent the virus from spreading.
Cleaning should be focused on areas in the house where germs are more likely to spread, such as the kitchens, bathrooms, door handles and light switches. Milton Sterilising Fluid or Milton Sterilising Tablets will leave surfaces disinfected with an effect on the Coronavirus by strictly following the latest WHO guidelines : Mix 1.5 cap (45mL) of fluid with 1.5 litres of cold water Or 1 tablet in 1L of cold water; these are stronger dilutions than usual. This solution leaves surfaces germ free after a minimum of 10 minutes.
Milton advises the following general cleaning tips to help prevent the spread of germs within the home:
Cloths and sponges – use disposable cloths or paper towels when possible. Reusable cloths should be soaked in Milton fluid or tablets or washed at 60C (140F) after each use.
Washing-up brushes – wash brushes in a dishwasher regularly or clean with Milton Sterilising fluid after each use
Mops and buckets – use two buckets for mopping – one for detergent and the other for rinsing. Mops and buckets should be cleaned and dried after each use with Milton Sterilising Fluid.
Toilets – Keep the toilet seat, handle and rim clean by using a product such as Milton Sterilising Fluid or Milton Antibacterial Surface Spray.
Kitchen – ensure food-preparation surfaces are clean and dry before use. Wash and dry your hands before and after handling foods.
Wipe down all surfaces once a day, including door handles and light switches. You can use Milton Sterilising Fluid or Milton Sterilising Tablets.
Toys – clean hard or plastic toys by washing them in warm soapy water or by soaking them in Milton fluid, check there are no batteries first and that the toys can be submerged.
