Texas wine and spirits chain calls on UK’s largest independent farmhouse cheese producer for gourmet British deli imports

Austin, Texas – February 24, 2009 – Wyke Farms, the UK’s largest independent cheese producer and milk processor, today announced the availability of the company’s award-winning farmhouse cheddar and butter in Spec’s, the Houston-based spirits and grocery chain. Currently available throughout the Midwest and other retailers around the United States, Spec’s will be the first Texas-based chain to carry Wyke Farms’ imported gourmet British Farmhouse cheddar and butter products.

Wyke Farms is a family-owned and operated business in the heart of the Somerset cheddar-making region in England with a rich history dating back to 1902 when the family’s award-winning original recipe was created by grandmother Ivy Clothier.
