- Today, Wyke Farms is the largest independent cheese maker and milk processor in the UK producing over 12000 tonnes of cheddar per year to the same award winning 100-year-old recipe.
- The Wyke Farms brand is the 4th largest brand in the Cheddar category and the only independent company in the top 10 cheese brands with retail sales of £70million growing at 24% YOY (Kantar Worldpanel KPI Reporting 52 w/e 21 March 2010).
- Wyke remains a truly traditional family business. Ivy’s grandsons Richard and Tom now run the cheese making operations with their father John, whilst her other two Grandsons David and Roger run the family dairy farming operations. The four grandchildren share Ivy’s passion for cheese making where flavour, texture and taste are paramount. They believe that this attention to detail is the reason that their cheese has won more awards at national cheese shows than any other.

(UK) Brand Data Shows Wyke Farms Exceptional Growth
UK’s largest independent cheese producer and milk processor confirms position as a serious contender within category
Somerset, England – 18th February 2009 – Wyke Farms, the UK’s largest independent cheese producer and milk processor today reveal the latest brand performance figures from TNS. The data confirms Wyke Farms as the fastest growing brand within the Cheddar category, with growth at 95% over the past 12 months and shows a significant 118% growth in brand sales, bringing them closer to their nearest competitor, the McLelland Seriously brand.
The brand performance data is generated from a panel of 25,000 households, the largest panel in the UK. The report highlighted the following:
• Wyke is still the fastest growing brand in the Cheddar category at +95% in value (52weeks)
• Wyke brand sales reached 37million
• Wyke brand has grown +118% in value (12weeks) with brand sales of 9.5million (close to McLelland Seriously Strong at 10.7million)
• Leskol is still performing strongly with value growth of +35% to 3.5million (52weeks).
