<p><em><span style="font-style: normal"><strong>London, 20<sup>th</sup> April 2011</strong> &#8211; <a href="http://www.twenga.co.uk/">Twenga</a>, the most comprehensive shopping search engine, records drastic rises in searches for camping products as the first summer approaches since the budget cuts were implemented.</span><br />

<p>Searches for <a href="http://www.twenga.co.uk/dir-Leisure-Hobbies,Camping-supplies,Tent-accessories">tent accessories</a> have soared by 450% in a month, as Brits dust down the old gear and stock up on the extras.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.twenga.co.uk/dir-Leisure-Hobbies,Camping-supplies,Camping-fridge">Camping fridges</a> have seen a 124% rise in searches, with shoppers preferring the Electrolux brand, followed by Dometic and Waeco.</p>
<p>Searches for <a href="http://www.twenga.co.uk/dir-Leisure-Hobbies,Beach-vacation-supplies,Beach-tent">beach tents</a> are up 114% with Quechua leading as the favourite brand, followed by Gelert then Outwell.</p>
<p>Other related searches reporting increases include camping awnings (+74%) and camping barbecues (+53%), confirming that a lighter wallet is no obstacle to a brighter summer.</p>

<p>As weather reports confirm, the past month’s average temperatures have been much warmer than usual which would explain the over 200% rise in searches for Ice Chests and Caravan Sun Canopies.</p>
