Bastien Duclaux and Cédric Anès created Twenga in 2006 after they realised that only a tiny fraction of today’s hundreds of thousands of online shops could be found through traditional search engines and directories. Consumers were missing out on great products and great deals and shops were missing out on customers. Twenga solves this problem.
Visits for intense pulsed light (IPL) method up 100%, while painful wax up only 30%
London – July 12th, 2010. Searches for new painless IPL (intense pulsed light) hair removers have doubled in just one month, reveals Twenga (http://www.twenga.co.uk) the next-generation shopping search engine.
Searches for IPL hair removers are rising much faster than traditional, more painful methods, such as waxing, sugaring, threading or using epilation devices. Twenga reports that hair removal wax is up just 30% over the last 30 days, and epilators rising only 23% over the period.
It seems women are more willing to try out newer methods to reduce the pain of looking good this summer. For those early adopters of IPL, top brands are Veet and Babyliss.
